August 2007 Here's one happy little angler, nine year old William Nightingill, who caught this 7lb 8oz Common Carp on sweetcorn at around 8pm on 29th August 2007 at Stemps Wood. William had one last cast and hooked the fish just as dad Steve was packing away his gear. It took him about 5 mins to land and as the picture shows he was chuffed to bits with it. Well done William! |

June 2007 Rick Simmonds landed this pristine Rother Barbel on Sat 23 June 2007. It weighed in at 13lbs 2oz and was described by Rick, who has been an angler most of his life, as 'the most stunning fish I have ever caught'. He caught the fish at 3 pm on his first cast of the day, the successful bait was a hair rigged boilie |

June 2007 A double take from Coultershaw, but not of Barbel this time. Mike Kitchener is pictured with a cracking River Rother Common of 11lb 4oz which looked like it had never been caught before. Pictured with him is Chris Humphrey with the "Old Warrior" a well known Mirror which usually pushes the scales to 20lb plus, this time it weighed in at a respectable 18lb 8oz. |
| Read an interesting theory HERE on why these two Carp were caught together on this evening. | |
