Well it’s Bethwins so it must be raining – It’s incredible we have been here four times over the last couple of years and it has rained every time.
A couple of those that fished the bottom pond were determined to crack the carp this time round. Kevin had even been up for a sneaky practice in the week, although he reckons all it did was confuse the issue. Anyway both Keith and Kevin were determined to have a concerted go for the carp and they feel that they had a moral victory as both had very carp like bites – but no connection – so I don’t think that really counts!
Whilst all the carping was going on Mick plugged away at the perch and with 5 – 13 – 8 won the lake.
In between his carping exploits Kevin found 5 – 7 – 0 of perch for second. Keith who spent more time than anyone going for the carp still managed time to put 3 – 0 – 0 of perch in the net for third place.
With a win and a second place Kevin, Vince and Steve all tied on points, but it is Kevin who wins the Milliard Cup with the better weight of 36 - 9 - 0 over the two legs.
